About Tonight’s Game: Tonight marks the 161st meeting between the two clubs.  Despite dropping its last two contests, Florida (4-3-0-0, 8 pts) continues to hold the top spot in the division.  The Stingrays (2-3-1-0, 5 pts) remain in fifth.

About Wednesday’s Game:  Trailing by a goal entering the second period of play, the Stingrays scored three unanswered tallies in the middle frame to grab a 3-1 edge.  In the third, forward Brant Harris scored the first shorthanded goal of the season for the Everblades to pull his team within one. However, the comeback bid fell short, as South Carolina tacked on an empty-net goal to take the game 4-2, and snap a four-game winless streak.

About the Everblades: Maxime St-Cyr recorded his first professional goal on the first shot of his career in Wednesday’s loss.  The rookie forward led the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in goals scored last season with a whopping 54 markers…After dealing with recent injuries at the forward position, the Everblades added veteran winger Jon DiSalvatore on Thursday.  DiSalvatore has amassed 568 points in 792 American Hockey League games, while appearing in six NHL contests with the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild…Anthony Peters is expected to start in goal for the Everblades this evening…Matt Marquardt continues to remain tied for the league lead in scoring with nine points…Florida has outscored its opponents 11-4 in the opening period this season.
