Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Friday that the Charlotte Checkers, an American Hockey League affiliate of the club, have assigned defenseman Austin Levi to the Blades.
Levi, 21, has four assists and a plus-2 rating in 23 appearances with the Blades. He was called up to the Checkers on December 14, which saw him tally his first professional goal in nine games played.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Levi is a former third-round draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes, going 85th overall to the Canes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
On the ice, the Blades continue their four-game home stand Friday at 7:30pm when they face the in-state rival Orlando Solar Bears at Germain Arena.
