Reading, PA – The Florida Everblades’ December trip through the Atlantic Division continues Friday with a playoff rematch as the Blades travel to Pennsylvania to take on the defending Kelly Cup champion Reading Royals at 7:05pm.

It will be the Blades’ first trip back to Santander Arena since a 4-1 loss in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Semifinals ended their hopes of back-to-back league titles this past May.

Florida enters the game on the heels of edging the Elmira Jackals 2-1 Wednesday, leaning on Trevor Cann for 22 saves while rookie Will MacDonald provided the game-winner in the defensive struggle. Matthew Pistilli, who leads the league in scoring with 32 points (13g, 19a) added a helper on MacDonald’s tally.

Reading, meanwhile, comes into Friday’s contest looking to bounce back from a 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Fort Wayne Komets last Saturday. The Royals were loaned reigning Kelly Cup MVP Riley Gill Friday; in nine games earlier this season with Reading, Gill posted a 6-3-0-0 record with a 2.20 GAA and a .913 SV%.

Friday’s matchup of the last two Kelly Cup champions will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:50pm.
