Elmira, NY – The Florida Everblades return to the road Wedesday as they open a four-game road swing through the Atlantic Division against the third-place Elmira Jackals at 7:05pm from First Arena.
Florida and Elmira split a pair of games in early November at Germain Arena, with the Blades taking a 5-2 victory on November 6 before coming up short in a 6-5 defeat two nights later.
Wednesday marks the final meeting of the regular season between the Everblades and Jackals—though the two sides have met each of the last two seasons in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Everblades forward Kyle Bonis continues to improve on his strong first-year campaign, as the Lindsay, Ontario, native leads all ECHL rookies in goals with 11 and is just two off of Matthew Pistilli’s team lead in tallies.
With Artem Demkov—who scored three goals in the November series at Germain Arena—called up to the Albany Devils of the AHL, Jordan Pietrus now leads the Jackals in scoring with 13 points (3g, 10a).
Wednesday’s interdivision scrap will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:50pm.
