Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis has been reassigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League by the Tampa Bay Lightning, both teams’ parent club.
Gudlevskis, 21, stands third among ECHL goaltenders with a 1.83 GAA. The native of Aizkraukle, Latvia, has been called up to the Crunch two other times, as well, logging a 1.92 GAA and a record of 4-0-0 in four appearances with Syracuse.
A fifth-round selection of the Lightning in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Gudlevskis is among 10 Everblades called up or loaned to the AHL through seven weeks in the 2013-14 season.
The Blades return home Friday to open a two-game set with the Colorado Eagles at Germain Arena with a 7:30pm interconference dustup.
Friday’s contest will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
