Fort Wayne, IN – The Florida Everblades will wrap up a three-game Thanksgiving road trip at 7:35pm Saturday as they take on the Fort Wayne Komets at Memorial Coliseum.
It will be a rematch of Thursday’s holiday dustup, which saw the Blades rattle off three straight goals in the third period to claim a 3-1 victory over the Komets.
Forward Matthew Pistilli’s hot start to the 2013-14 season sees the veteran forward atop the ECHL scoring standings with 29 points (12g, 17a) while Florida captain Mathieu Roy remains on a better-than-point-per-game pace with 14 points (8g, 6a) in 11 appearances.
Earlier on Saturday the Blades announced that defenseman Mike Little has been called up to the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.
Komets forward Mickey Lang remains atop the league’s goal-scoring standings, one ahead of Pistilli with 13, while Brandon Marino and Mike Vaskivuo are both in double digits in assists with 12 helpers each.
Fort Wayne goalie Andrey Makarov impressed in Thursday’s clash with the Blades, stopping 32 of 34 shots, including a Pistilli breakaway.
Saturday’s road trip finale will be broadcast locally on 98.1 FM The Island and worldwide online on America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 7:20pm.
