Gwinnett, GA – The Florida Everblades announced Friday that defenseman Jordan Henry has signed a professional tryout offer with the American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch, an AHL affiliate of the Everblades.
Henry, 27, is the top-scoring defenseman on the Blades with nine points (1g, 8a) in 12 appearances. The native of Milo, Alberta, has played 282 games at the AHL level with 22 goals and 36 assists.
Earlier this season Henry was named assistant captain of the Everblades in his second stint in Southwest Florida (2007-08). He heads to Syracuse amid a three-game point streak (1g, 3a).
On the ice, the Blades continue a three-game South Division road trip Friday at The Arena at Gwinnett Center for a 7:05pm rematch with the Gwinnett Gladiators as Florida looks to try and snap a three-game skid.
Friday’s contest will be broadcast locally on FOX Sports Radio 1350 AM and worldwide online on America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:50pm.
