Ontario, CA – The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that goalie Kristers Gudlevskis has been called up to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Gudlevskis, 21, is the goalie of record for both of the Blades’ wins to open the 2013-14 season, stopping 32 of 35 shots with a 1.50 GAA in his first pro starts.
He was previously assigned to the Crunch by the Tampa Bay Lightning for two games October 12 and 13, but did not log any ice time before being reassigned to the Everblades.
The Blades kick off a four-game West Coast road trip Friday in southern California against the Ontario Reign with a 10:00pm EST puck drop and Citizens Business Bank Arena.
Friday’s interdivision contest will be broadcast locally on FOX Sports Radio 1350 AM and worldwide online on America ONE, the official internet television provider for the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 9:45pm.
