Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Monday that goalie Kristers Gudlevskis has been reassigned to the team by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Gudlevskis, 21, was in Southwest Florida for the majority of the Blades’ 2013-14 Training Camp, but was called up Friday by the Tampa Bay Lightning and subsequently assigned to the Crunch.
A fifth-round pick of the Lightning in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft from Aizkraukle, Latvia, Gudlevskis backed up Crunch netminder Riku Helenius in Syracuse’s 5-1 win Saturday over the Rochester Americans.
