ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that forward Alex Hutchings have been recalled to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Hutchings, 22, has posted four points (2g, 2a) in 12 games played with the Crunch this season. In 40 appearances with the Everblades this season, Hutchings has totaled 34 points (14g, 20a). Hutchings registered his second career hat trick back on November 9.
The 5-10, 184-lb, earned five points (2g, 3a) in 13 games played last season with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. The Burlington, Ontario native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Everblades play host to the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start time, while Saturday’s game begins at 7:00 p.m.
