ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that Forward Danick Gauthier has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Gauthier, 21, has posted six points (3g, 3a) in just five games played since joining the ‘Blades on March 5. Additionally, Gauthier has appeared in 29 games for the Crunch this season, registering seven points (5g, 2a). On Jan. 9, the 6-2, 210-pound winger recorded his first career multi-point game (1g, 1a) and first career game-winning goal at Rochester on Jan. 9.
Last season Gauthier played for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL, contributing 86 points (47g, 39a) in 66 regular season games. After four seasons with Saint John, Gauthier signed as a free-agent with the Tampa Bay Lightning in March of 2012.
The Everblades play host to the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena on Saturday beginning at 7:00 p.m. The McDonald’s tailgate begins at 5 p.m. featuring live music and bounce houses for the kids. The ‘Blades will entertain the Stingrays again on St. Patrick’s Day Sunday. Fans can receive a $10 terrace level ticket at the Capital Bank Box Office simply by wearing green to the game.
