David Tendeck's 39 saves in his Everblades debut led the way to a 4-1 win for the Florida Everblades over the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday night.
The first period saw Tendeck tested far more often than Garin Bjorklund across the ice as the Stingrays outshot Florida 12-4 in the opening period. The Blades backstop stood tall in the opening 20 minutes to keep the game scoreless through the first.
Florida broke the ice in the second period when Luke Santerno tipped home Pendenza's pass for his sixth goal of the season. After the Stingrays tied the game on the power play, the Everblades quickly responded with a power play goal of their own, courtesy of a bar down beauty from Brett Davis. Later in the frame, Santerno grabbed his second of the game finishing off a four-on-two rush with a top shelf snipe for Florida's second three-goal period this week. Oliver Chau assisted on all three. Florida goals in the middle stanza.
South Carolina tried to push in the third but couldn't break through Tendeck again, and Chau potted the empty netter in the final minute to seal the win for the Everblades. The Stingrays outshot the Everblades 40-18 on the evening. Tendeck's record improved to 4-5-0 this season with the win, while Bjorklund fell to 12-9-1 with 14 throughout the night.

- Two players on the Stingrays tried to fight Kyle Neuber at the same time, and all three were given unsportsmanlike conduct minors instead.
