About Today’s Game: The Everblades can once again attempt to clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win OR with an Elmira loss in regulation. The ’Blades can also clinch with a loss in overtime / shootout AND if Elmira loses.  Florida trails first place South Carolina (85 pts) by just one point in the South Division standings.   Greenville is winless in its last three games (0-2-0-1) and is now nine points out from the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Last Time Out: Greg Gibson recorded a hat trick in his professional debut to lift the Everblades to a 7-2 victory over the Swamp Rabbits last night at Germain Arena.   Kevin Lynch finished with three assists on the night.  It was a one goal game heading into the third period, but Florida grabbed a goal from Matt Willows and then scored three goals in a span of 1:53 late in regulation to pull away.

About the Everblades: Greg Gibson recorded the team’s first hat trick of the season.  Heading into last night’s game the Everblades had 18 two-goal performances on the year…Yesterday the Everblades added defenseman Danny New who had played 15 games this season with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. New recorded a goal in his Everblades debut last night…Matt Willows continues to leads all ECHL rookies with 57 points
