About Last Night’s Game: Elmira took a 1-0 lead into the third period, and it appeared as if the Jackals were going to hang on for the tight victory thanks in part to stellar goaltending by C.J Motte.  However, Florida’s Justin Agosta  netted the tying goal with just 96 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.  Both Motte and Florida netminder Anthony Peters stopped quality scoring chances in the extra session to help force the overtime shootout.  Matt Marquardt scored the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Everblades to the 2-1 victory.   Despite taking the loss, Motte finished the game with a whopping 46 saves.

About the Everblades:  Florida holds the league’s best win-percentage in overtime at .950 and hold an overall overtime record of 9-0-0-1.  The only loss the Everblades have suffered in extra sessions this season was a 2-1 shootout loss at Greenville on January 9…Anthony Peters is expected to start in goal this evening. Peters leads all ECHL rookie netminders with a 2.10 goals-against-average, which is also good for fifth best overall in the league.

About the Jackals:  Cason Hohmann had his 10-game point streak snapped in last night’s game.  Hohmann recorded 14 points (6g, 8a) during this streak which began back on January 2.  Hohmann continues to leads the Jackals with 36 points...Allan McPherson netted his 16th goal of the season last night to tie with Hohmann for the team lead.  Hohmann enters tonight's game having scored a goal in four straight contests.
