'Blades Add Three; Announce Training Camp Roster

ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Friday that the team has agreed to terms with local product and defenseman Logan Roe, as well as forwards Ethan Werek and David Wohlberg for the 2015-16 season.  In addition, the team announced its 2015 Training Camp roster.

Roe, 23, is a Fort Myers, Florida native who played the past four seasons at Canisius College (AHA).  Last season, Roe totaled seven assists and a +6 rating in 37 games.  The 6-4, 206-pound blueliner recorded 25 points (1g, 24a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Golden Griffins.

Werek, 24 joins the Everblades having played the past four seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL).  Last season, the 6-2, 200-pound center registered 20 points (8g, 12a) in 53 appearances with the Providence Bruins.  From 2011 to 2014, Werek played three seasons with the Portland Pirates totaling 56 points (25g, 31a).  Prior to his pro career, Werek amassed 179 points in three seasons (2007-2011) with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Markham, Ontario native was selected in the second round by the New York Rangers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Wohlberg, 25, also brings AHL experience to the team, having played the past four seasons with the Albany Devils.  Wohlberg posted 12 points (5g, 7a) in 49 games played with the Devils last season.  The 6-1, 192-pound center accrued a total of 34 points during his time with Albany from 2011-2015. Wohlberg played four seasons at the University of Michigan compiling 111 career points.  The South Lyon, Michigan native was a sixth-round draft selection of the New Jersey Devils in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Additionally, the Everblades announced their 2015 Training Camp Roster. The Everblades open with a training camp roster comprised of twelve (12) forwards, seven defensemen (7), and two (2) goaltenders.

To view the full training camp schedule CLICK HERE ---Opening Weekend Presented by The Passion Foundation Set for Oct. 16 & 17!The Everblades open the 2015-16 season at Germain Arena on Friday, October 16 against the Atlanta Gladiators! The two teams will also meet on Saturday, October 17.

The opening weekend games will be part of a “Black Out” promotion and the Everblades will be wearing special black jerseys which will be auctioned off following the October 17 game. The proceeds of the auction will benefit The Passion Foundation.
