ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Jeff Jones for the 2015-16 season. (Photo courtesy of RMU Athletics).
Jones, 23, joins the Everblades after recording 11 points (1g, 10a) in 31 games played during his senior season at Robert Morris University. The 5-9, 175-pound forward totaled 63 points (18g, 45a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Colonials from 2011-2015. During his time at Robert Morris, Jones played two seasons with former Everblades forward Adam Brace from 2011-2013.
"Jeff is a versatile and heads-up forward," said Everblades Head Coach Greg Poss. "He put together a solid season despite dealing with an injury last year. We expect him to be a contributor with our team at the pro level."
The Revelstoke, British Columbia native posted a balanced 111 points in two seasons with the Merritt Centennials (BCHL) from 2009-2011.
Jones becomes the fourth player to join the Everblades for the 2015-16 season. Forwards Evan Bloodoff and Maxime St. Cyr as well as defenseman Mark Nemec have all agreed to terms with the team in recent weeks.
