ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Friday that the team’s NHL affiliate the Carolina Hurricanes have reassigned goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic to the ‘Blades.
Nedeljkovic, 19, recently finished his season with the Ontario Hockey League’s Plymouth Whalers where he posted a record of 20-28-7 with a 3.14 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. The 6-0, 192-pound netminder posted a 65-57-16 record during his three seasons with Plymouth.
The Parma, Ohio native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round (37th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft .
On March 29, Nedeljkovic (pronounced NUH-dell-KO-vich) signed a three-year entry-level contract with Carolina.
The Everblades battle the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday (April 4) at Germain Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
