About Last Night’s Game: Nicholas Deschamps scored twice, including the game-winner on the power play in the second period to lift the Everblades to a tight 3-2 decision over the Solar Bears in Game 1 at Germain Arena Friday night.  Deschamps got the ‘Blades on the board first, but two quick strikes by Jacob Cepis gave Orlando the 2-1 lead after the first.  Steven Whitney and Deschamps scored in the second period to reclaim the lead, and the Everblades held off a relentless attack by Orlando in the third to secure the win.  Shots:  FLA – 33  ORL - 27

About the Everblades:  Nicholas Deschamps leads the Everblades in points and goals with two.  Corey Trivino logged an assist in his return to the ‘Blades lineup last night.  It was not a bad night for the Whitney family on Friday, as the Everblades’ Steven Whitney scored a goal in the second period against Orlando while his brother Joe scored for the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League in their game at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

About the Solar Bears:  If you include the regular season, forward Jacob Cepis now has collected 19 points (8g, 11a) in 14 games played against the Everblades.  Brad Ross (2 assists) is tied with Cepis (2 goals) for the team lead in the playoffs after just one game played.  Expect Garret Sparks to once again man the goal for Orlando this evening.
