Everblades Statement Regarding Allen York

ESTERO, FL – Everblades goaltender Allen York was released from an Orlando hospital last night after suffering a whiplash-type injury to his neck in the third period of Florida’s Game 5 matchup against Orlando at the Amway Center.

York was involved in a collision with another player on the ice with 19.5 seconds remaining in regulation.  York was carted off the ice as a precautionary measure and was later released from the hospital hours later after X-rays were negative.  York is in good spirits and returned home to Southwest Florida this morning.

York is listed as doubtful for Monday’s Game 6 against Orlando at Germain Arena which begins at 7:30 p.m.  The Everblades lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

The team would like to thank all of the fans and supporters for their thoughts and well wishes for Allen York last night and throughout the day on Sunday.
