ESTERO, FL  The Florida Everblades announced Friday that forward Nicolas Deschamps (pictured) has been reassigned to the Everblades from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.  In a separate transaction, defenseman Jordan Henry was loaned to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.

Deschamps, 25, rejoins the Everblades having logged an assist in 12 games played with the Crunch this season.  The 6-0, 190-pound forward has appeared in one game with the Everblades this season back on March 13 vs Greenville.The LaSalle, Quebec native recorded 40 points in (15g, 25a) in 65 appearances with the Hershey Bears (AHL) last season.  In addition, Deschamps was scoreless in three games played last season with the NHL's Washington Capitals.Deschamps (pronounced DAY-shomp) was originally selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round (#35 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Henry, 29, heads to Charlotte having posted 19 points (7g, 12a) in 29 games played with the Everblades this season.  Henry has appeared in 301 American Hockey League contests throughout his career totaling 69 career points.

Deschamps is expected to play Friday night when the Everblades battle the Evansville IceMen at the Ford Center beginning at 8:15 p.m. eastern time.
