Islanders Assign a Pair of Defensemen to Everblades

ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced today that the New York Islanders have assigned defensemen Jesse Graham (pictured left) and Kevin Czuczman (pictured right) to the Everblades from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.  (Photos courtesy of Puck Stopper Photography).Graham, 20, joins the Everblades after posting 19 points (3g, 16a) in 39 games played with Bridgeport this season.  The 5-11, 175-pound defenseman recorded 152 points during his four-year career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) split between the Niagara IceDogs and the Saginaw Spirit (2010-2014).   The Toronto, Ontario native was selected by the New York Islanders in the 6th round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Czuczman (pronounced CHURCH-men), 24, brings some NHL experience to the Everblades roster.   The 6-3, 204-pound blueliner logged two assists in 13 games appearances with the NHL’s New York Islanders last season.  The Port Elgin, Ontario native has registered five points (1g, 4a) in 43 games played with Bridgeport this season.   Czuczman recorded 45 career points during this three-seasons played at Lake Superior State University (2011-2014).

Additionally, the Everblades activated defenseman Jordan Henry and forward Jeff Costello off the 21-day IR, and placed forward Andrew Huff on the 21-day IR.

Graham, Czuczman, Henry, and Costello are all expected to be in the lineup when the Everblades play host to the Orlando Solar Bears at 7:30 p.m.
