About Last Night’s Game: Brandon Wong scored a goal and added two assists to lift the Stingrays to a 5-3 victory over the Everblades at Germain Arena. Trailing 4-1 with nearly three and a half minutes remaining, Jordan Henry and Adam Brace scored in an 11-second span to pull the ‘Blades within one. However, former Everblade Sean Dolan recorded an empty net goal in the final minute to spoil the ‘Blades comeback bid. Shots: SC – 28 FLA – 22
About the Everblades: Captain Jordan Henry has registered a goal in three of the last four games after returning from an injury that had sidelined the veteran defenseman since December 6. The Everblades have benefited from good starts in games this season, posting a 21-0-1-1 record when leading after the first period. Andy Iles is expected to get the start in goal tonight for Florida.
About the Stingrays: The Stingrays boast the league’s best goaltending tandem as Adam Morrison and Jeff Jakaitis are ranked in the top three in the league rankings. However, Morrison was recalled to Providence of the AHL yesterday. Forward Brandon Wong leads the Rays in scoring with 43 points. Wong enters tonight having scored in each of the last two games. Tonight the Stingrays will be looking to claim the ECHL’s longest win streak of the season at 13 consecutive games.
