About Tonight’s Game: Florida currently sits in second place in the division and trails first place Reading by just three points. The Gladiators have won the last three meetings against the Everblades, scoring 18 goals during that stretch. Despite the success against the Everblades this season, the Gladiators are winless in their last seven games (0-6-0-1).

Last Time Out:  Matt Marquardt’s goal in the third round of the shootout lifted the Everblades to a 6-5 shootout victory over the Orlando Solar Bears last Saturday at Germain Arena….Gwinnett is coming off a tough 12-0 road loss to the Toledo Walleye on Sunday.  Toledo’s Anthony Luciani and Justin Mercier each posted five-point nights.

About the Everblades:  Florida will be without one of its top goal getters in forward Evan Bloodoff.  Bloodoff was placed on the 21-day IR yesterday after suffering an injury in Monday’s practice.  Bloodoff shares the team the lead in goals (20) with Adam Brace.  Brace continues to lead the ‘Blades in scoring with 44 points. Defenseman Artem Sergeev rejoined the team this morning after being reassigned by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.  The Everblades sport the second best power play in the ECHL, but have failed to record a goal with the man advantage in each of the last five games.

About the Gladiators: Gwinnett’s roster features one of the top ranked scorers in the ECHL in forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel.   Zabotel is tied for fifth in the league with 57 points.  In addition, Zabotel leads the Gladiators in scoring against the Everblades this season with 14 pints (5g, 9a).  Zabotel recorded a hat trick, including the game winner in overtime in the previous meeting between the two clubs back on January 24 in Duluth, Georgia.   Defenseman Patrick McEachen is expected to make his Gladiators debut this evening.  McEachen was traded by the Everblades to Gwinnett this past Saturday.
