ESTERO, FL — The Florida Everblades announced today that the Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Artem Sergeev to the Everblades from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Sergeev, 21, returns to the Everblades after scoring a goal with seven penalty minutes in five appearances during his recent call up with Syracuse.  The 6-2, 203-pound blueliner has totaled 18 points (6g, 12a) in 32 games played with the Everblades this season.

Last season, Sergeev posted 10 points (3g, 7a) in 68 appearances with Syracuse.

The Moscow, Russia native totaled 86 career points in three seasons with the Val d’Or Foruers of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2010-2013.
