ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Friday that defenseman Cameron Burt has been returned on loan from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Burt, 28, returns to Florida after logging an assist in three appearances with the Americans. Burt has recorded 36 points (4g, 32a) with a +22 rating in 45 games played with the Everblades this season.

Burt was acquired by Florida last spring on March 13, 2014 from the Ontario Reign where he totaled 22 points (5g, 17a) in 32 games.  In addition, the 5-10, 170-pound blueliner collected six points (1g, 5a) in nine games with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

Burt posted a career best 38 points (2g, 36a) in 61 appearances with Ontario during the 2012-13 season.

The Detroit, Michigan native orchestrated a productive collegiate career at R.I.T. amassing 138 points (43g, 95a) in147 games played from 2008-2012, including a 47-point, 16-goal campaign in 2009-10.

Burt is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Everblades play host to the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

This Friday and Saturday is Pink In the Rink Weekend, presented by Radiology Regional.  The Everblades will wear specially designed pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness.  The jerseys will be auctioned off following Saturday's game with the proceeds benefiting local cancer charities.  Fans are encouraged to wear pink this weekend.
