York, 25, joins the Everblades after posting a 4-4-2 record, a 2.65 goals against average, and a .912 save percentage in 12 AHL appearances last season split between stints with the Charlotte Checkers, Rockford IceHogs, Texas Stars, and Syracuse Crunch. In addition, the 6-3, 194-pound netminder earned an 11-17-0-1 record, with a 2.87 goals against average and a .903 save percentage in 20 games played last season in the ECHL while playing for the South Carolina Stingrays and the Evansville Icemen.
The Wetaskiwin, Alberta native made 11 National Hockey League games with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2010-11 season netting a 3-2 record, 2.30 goals against average, and a .919 save percentage. York was selected by Columbus in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
From 2008-2011, York played three seasons at R.P.I. where he posted a career record of 37-34-8.
The addition of York now puts the Everblades Training Camp roster to 26 players heading into Saturday's practice sessions. The following is a full listing of the Everblades Training Camp roster:
