ORLANDO, Fl. - The Florida Everblades head north on Wednesday, October 28 for the third of 15 matchups against the Orlando Solar Bears this season. A 7 p.m. puck drop will kick off this six-game road trip for the Blades.

This time away from home for the Everblades will consist of a trip to Orlando, then Greenville to take on the Swamp Rabbits, and finally Jacksonville to meet the Icemen.

For the Blades, they’re looking to build on their hot start and begin a season 5-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign. Following a comeback win over the Atlanta Gladiators on Saturday night, Florida is really finding their stride.

It’s a different story for the Solar Bears, as Orlando is still searching for their first victory of the season after dropping the opening series to Florida and then losing 5-3 to the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday. The Solar Bears continue to deal with offensive struggles as they have only scored five goals in their first three games.

To counter the struggling offense in Orlando, the Everblades have played stellar defense to start the year. They have only given up four goals so far in four games which ranks best in the entire ECHL. On offense, the Blades have scored 17 goals which ranks fourth in the ECHL.

A tale of differing starts to the year clash at Kia Center for another edition of this Sunshine State showdown.
