ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades will look to knock out the Jacksonville Icemen in Game Five of the South Division Finals at Hertz Arena on Saturday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Brendan Harris kept the Icemen alive when he scored the OT winner eight minutes into the extra frame. His goal was Jacksonville’s fourth power play goal of the game as they took Game Four 4-3 over Florida. Florida gave the Icemen six power play opportunities, the most the team has allowed in the second round.
Tyler Irvine, Ashton Calder, and John McCarron scored Florida’s goals while Levko Koper picked up a pair of assists. Game Four was Koper’s first multipoint game of the playoffs.
Cam Johnson made 32 saves in the loss while his former backup Parker Gahagen stopped 27 shots for his first win in the playoffs this year.
The Everblades never led in Game Four, the first time since Game Two in the first round that Florida has never been out front in a game. This game was Florida’s first loss in a series-clinching game since Game Five of the South Division Semifinals against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits last year.
Florida is now 2-1 in overtime games this year.
The puck drops at seven, but fans can come early and enjoy a free tailgate with live music in front of Hertz Arena from 5-7 p.m.
