Players to WatchKyle Platzer (FLA) – Platzer posted five points over his final two games of last week and matched his career-high with his three-point night on Saturday. He has tabbed three points in five games this season and is second on the 'Blades with 15 multi-point games total. The fourth-year pro has points in six of his last eight games, with four multi-point efforts in that stretch.

Michael Brodzinski (ORL) - The defenseman has been a key offensive piece for the Solar Bears this season and is tied for the team lead with 21 assists. He has tabbed four points in six games against Florida this season with two goals and two assists. After posting 10 points (3g-7a) in 23 games for the Allen Americans last season, Brodzinski has put up 28 points, including seven goals, in 50 games for Orlando this year.

Series historyWednesday is the seventh of 12 total meetings between the Everblades and Solar Bears this season and the fourth of six matchups at the Amway Center. Florida has compiled a 58-22-6 all-time record against Orlando, including a 3-1-2 mark this year. Since getting shut out in the first meeting with the Solar Bears on Oct. 26, Florida has registered at least three goals in each of the last five matchups.

Second is BestFlorida has outscored opponents by 37 goals in the middle frame, a second-period goal differential that is the best in the league. The Everblades have been outscored in the second period in just 12 games this season and have posted two or more goals in the second period 22 times, including last Friday night's three-goal performance in the middle frame. The Utah Grizzlies are the next best team in period two with a +21-goal differential.

Close ContestsEven when it has lost games, Florida has still managed to keep contests close all season long. Only two of Florida's 13 setbacks have come by more than two goals, while nine have been by just one goal. The 'Blades are the only team in the ECHL that has not lost a game by more than three goals this season, posting a record of 11-0-0-0 in games decided by four or more scores. Florida's 11 wins in such games are the most in the league.

Shootin' Their ShotSouth Carolina outshot Florida, 33-30, on Saturday night, which was just the 11th time this season Florida has had fewer shots on goal than its opponent. The 'Blades have outshot their opponent in 42 of their 55 games. The Tulsa Oilers, which have outshot their opponent in 49 games, are the only other ECHL team that has outshot their opponent in more games. The 'Blades have posted a 7-2-2 record when being outshot.
