‘Blades to raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs at Nickelodeon Night

ESTERO, Fla. — The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that they will partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County for this Saturday’s Nickelodeon Night to raise funds for the organization.

As part of the partnership between the ‘Blades and the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Everblades will donate all proceeds from the postgame jersey auction of the team’s Nickelodeon Night jerseys to the Boys & Girls Clubs.

“We’re very excited to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County for the first time and continue to give back to the Southwest Florida community,” said Chris Palin, the Everblades Vice President of Business Development. “Having the Boys & Girls Clubs as part of Nickelodeon Night makes perfect sense, and this really fun, engaging night for fans will raise a lot of money to help support their great programs and all they do for Lee County.”

“The Florida Everblades are a great community partner, and we’re very grateful for their support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County,” said Rodney Ford, the Board Chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County. “Everything our organization does for the children of Lee County is made possible through events like this, and the funds raised will help us continue to serve the community.”

The postgame jersey auction will take place in the East End of Hertz Arena, the side located below the Breakaway Sports Pub, immediately following Saturday night’s game. Fans will have the chance to bid on Everblades’ player jerseys, which feature SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star from the Nickelodeon show ‘SpongeBob Squarepants,” in addition to several other jerseys, including the jersey of Swampee, the Everblades mascot.

Fans will also be able to contribute to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County through a ticket fundraiser. The Everblades will donate $5 from each ticket purchased through that link to the Boys & Girls Club of Lee County.

Saturday night also features an exclusive Pineapple Party that will take place before the game from 5-7 p.m. in the Florida Community Bank Terrace. Fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat patties, fries, and beverages with SpongeBob and Friends and will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat through the suites during the first intermission. The Pineapple Party Package includes a ticket to the game and is $40 for kids and $50 for adults. The Everblades play a home-and-home series this weekend against the Orlando Solar Bears, traveling to Orlando for a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday before returning home on Saturday for a 7 p.m. matchup at Hertz Arena for Nickelodeon Night.
