About Tonight’s Game: Tonight’s marks the 14th and final match-up in the Wawa Sunshine Cup Series between the two intrastate rivals.  The Wawa Sunshine Cup is awarded to the team with the most points in the regular season head-to-head match-up between the two clubs.  The Everblades have already clinched the Wawa Sunshine Cup for the third consecutive season, leading 20 points to nine points.

The Everblades are riding a seven-game winning streak and are unbeaten in regulation in their last eight (7-0-1-0).  On Friday, the ‘Blades extended their lead for first place in the South Division to seven points with a 3-1 victory over Orlando, coupled with a loss by South Carolina to Idaho.  Florida trails Toledo (93 pts) by just one point for the top spot overall in the ECHL. The Solar Bears maintain third place in the division and currently hold a magic number of seven to secure a playoff spot

About the Everblades:  Forward Mitchell Heard extended his point streak to eight games last night, and now has collected 14 points during this eight-game stretch.  Heard, John McCarron and Stephen MacAulay each recorded a point last night and remain tied for the team lead in scoring with 54 points apiece…Defenseman Logan Roe enters tonight riding a four-game point streak (2g, 3a).  The Fort Myers native also ranks fifth in the ECHL in plus-minus at +31.
