About Tonight’s Game: The two teams will open up a home-and-home set tonight, and will meet again in Jacksonville on Saturday night.  The Everblades will be looking for their third straight victory this evening. They will do battle against an improved Jacksonville team that is 5-4-1-0 in the last ten games.  Florida holds a seven-point lead over second place South Carolina for the top spot in the division.  The Everblades have a 5-0-0 record against Jacksonville this season.

Last Time Out: Florida is coming off a dramatic 4-3 shootout victory at Atlatna this past Sunday. Mitchell Head tied the game at three with 35 second remaining in regulation, while Nelson Armstrong netted the game-winner in the shootout.  Jacksonville is riding high after defeating Greenville 4-2 on Wednesday.

About the Everblades:  Another busy week of roster moves took place this week.  Forward Michael Kirkpatrick earned his first career call up with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Cleveland Monsters.  Kirkpatrick was tied for the league lead in scoring with 40 points at the time of his call up.  In a related move, Cleveland loaned forward Hayden Hodgson to the team, and he will make his Everblades debut tonight.  The rookie forward Hodgson has recorded five points (2g, 3a) in 23 appearances with the Monsters this season.  Additionally, forward Steven Lorentz has been returned to the team following a three-game call-up with the Charlotte Checkers...The Everblades enter the week as the top defensive team in the league with a 2.47 goals-against-per-game average.
