ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph Announced Friday that forward Steven Lorentz has been reassigned by the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Lorentz, 21, heads to Charlotte after posting 13 points (4g, 9a) in 25 games played with the Everblades this season.
The 6-3, 191-pound rookie forward totaled 164 points (75g, 89a) during in four seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s Peterborough Petes from 2013-2018. The Waterloo, Ontario native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 7th round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
The Everblades return to action tonight when they battle the Orlando Solar Bears at the Amway Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.
