WJBX Returns as Broadcast Home for Everblades Hockey

ESTERO, FL — The Florida Everblades are pleased to announce that WJBX News, Talk & More, will once again be the radio home for Florida Everblades Hockey for the 2017-18 season.

This will mark the second consecutive season that WJBX will be the broadcast outlet of Everblades hockey.  WJBX programming broadcasts on 101.5-FM (Bonita Springs/Naples), 104.3-FM (Fort Myers) and AM-770.  In addition to airing games locally in Southwest Florida, WJBX will also provide an online webstream for all game broadcasts on the station’s website wjbxnewstalk.com

WJBX News, Talk & More is owned and operated by the Beasley Broadcasting Group Inc. of Southwest Florida. Beasley Broadcasting studios are based in Estero, Florida.

“Beasley Broadcasting continues to be a great partner of ours year after year," said Everblades Executive Vice President of Business Development Chris Palin. “WJBX provides multiple outlets for our fans to catch the Everblades on the air and follow the team while they are on the road. ”

Alex Reed will return for his seventh season as the “Voice of the Everblades.”

Fans who wish to watch the games online may do so at ECHL.TV on a subscription basis courtesy of Neulion. Early bird packages are currently available.

Opening Weekend Details! The Everblades will open up their 20th Anniversary Season at home this Friday (Oct. 13, 7:30 p.m.) and Saturday (Oct. 14, 7:00 p.m.) against the Atlanta Gladiators! There will be 20th Anniversary ceremonies prior to both games.  On Friday, all fans will receive a free magnet schedule courtesy of Jack's Cleaning!  On Saturday, the first 3,000 fans will receive a 20th Anniversary Commemorative poster presented by Bud Light. The team will wear special throwback jerseys for both games that will will be auctioned off following Saturday's game.

Additionally, $1 of each individual game ticket purchased for both of the opening weekend games will be donated to the Naples Zoo hurricane relief efforts.  Tickets may be purchased at the Florida Community Bank Box Office located at Germain Arena, or online at Ticketmaster.
