Everblades Acquire Forward Nolan LaPorte from Quad City

ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Wednesday that the team has acquired forward Nolan LaPorte from the Quad City Mallards in exchange for future considerations.

LaPorte, 25, joins the ‘Blades after an impressive rookie camppain with Quad City during the 2016-17 season. The 6-0, 195-pound winger posted 44 points (14g, 30a) in 65 appearances with the Mallards last season. In addition, LaPorte also appeared in one game with the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild.

“Fortunately, we were able to acquire Nolan LaPorte, a talented young player with the potential to play at a very high level,” said Ralph. “This will be Nolan’s second professional season, and he will be relied upon in critical situations. We are excited to have Nolan on our team, and we look forward to assisting him in his development.”

The Chicago, Illinois native totaled 70 career points (33g, 37a) during his four seasons at Western Michigan University from 2012-2016. In 2012, LaPorte won a Clark Cup Championship with the USHL’s Green Bay Gamblers.
