ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that defenseman Tyler Ganly has been reassigned to the team from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ganly, 22, returns to the Everblades where he logged an assist in 11 games played this season.  Ganly also made two appearances this season with the Checkers.  Ganly missed the first half of the regular season recovering from an injury he sustained during training camp with Charlotte.

Ganly logged two assists in 26 appearances with the Checkers in 2015-16, while recorded an assist in 15 games played with the Everblades.  The 6-2, 204-pound blueliner totaled 54 career points (5g, 49a) during his three seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

The Mississauga, Ontario native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the sixth-round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The addition of Ganly rounds out the Everblades playoff roster at the maximum number of 23 players.

The Everblades battle the South Carolina Stingrays tonight in Game 3 of the South Division Finals at the North Charleston Coliseum beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Fans wishing to listen to the games can catch it on 99.3 FM ESPN Radio, or online at   http://993espn.com/
