ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that forward Stephen MacAulay has returned to the team from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League (AHL).

MacAulay, 24, returns from Springfield where he logged six points (2g, 4a) in 39 games played.  The 6-2, 185-pound center has recorded 19 points (10g, 9a) in 23 appearances with the Everblades this season. Prior to his most recent call-up, MacAulay had scored seven goals in his last seven ECHL games.

The Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native played five productive seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) amassing 155 points split between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Halifax Mooseheads from 2008-2013.  MacAulay won Memorial Cup Championships with Saint John in 2011 and a second title with Halifax in 2013.

MacAulay was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The addition of MacAulay now puts Florida's playoff roster at 21 eligible players. Teams are allowed a maximum of 23 players during the course of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

This Thursday the Everblades will battle Orlando at the Amway Center for Game 3 of the South Division Semifinals. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
