About Wednesday’s Game 1: Taylor Doherty scored twice and added an assist while goaltender Ryan Massa made 30 saves to lead the Solar Bears to a 4-2 victory over the ‘Blades in the opening game of the 2017 Kelly Cup Playoffs.  Despite the loss, Matt Berry pieced together a sold outing, scoring both Florida goals.  Florida registered 16 of its 32 shots in the third period. Shots on goal:  FLA -  32  ORL – 30

About the Everblades:  Matt Berry leads the way for the Everblades in the postseason with two goals…Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic will once again get the start tonight. Nedeljokovic has faired well against Orlando this season, and made 26 saves on Wednesday….Curt Gogol and Logan Roe who were both healthy scratches in Game 1, will return to the lineup this evening.

About the Solar Bears:  Defenseman Taylor Doherty scored just three goals in the regular season, but currently leads Orlando in the postseason with two.  Doherty is tied with forward Chris Crane in scoring with three points.  Crane has been a thorn in the side for the Everblades, as he posted nine points (5g, 4a) in the regular season and three in Game 1….Ryan Massa is once again expected to start in goal tonight.
