Wednesday is also College Night.  College students receive a $5 tickets with free parking when they present their College ID at Germain Arena.About Tonight’s Game:  The Everblades clinched their spot in the 2017 Kelly Cup Playoffs last Saturday, but can clinch the South Division title tonight with a win or with a loss in overtime/shootout.  Florida currently holds a ten point lead over second place Greenville (79 pts).  Kalamazoo also locked up a playoff spot in the Western Conference last weekend.  The Wings have won four straight and are 7-3-0-0 in their last ten games.   The Everblades have struggled against Western Conference opponents this season, holding a 1-5-0-1 record in those games.

Last Time Out:  The Everblades rallied from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Fort Wayne Komets 6-4 at the Allen County War Memorial Sunday evening.  Michael Kirkpatrick scored twice in the contest as Florida closed its four-game road trip with a victory….On Saturday, the K-Wings knocked off the Norfolk Admirals by a 5-3 score.   Justin Taylor scored twice to help pace the Wings to the win and to a playoff berth.

About the Everblades: Forward Mitchell Heard has returned to the team from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.  Heard has recorded a balanced six points (3g, 3a) in five games with the ‘Blades this season.  On Tuesday, goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic was recalled by the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.  As a result, the Everblades have added goaltender Steve Summerhays.  Anthony Peters is second in the league with 29 wins, and will get the start this evening.
