ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Friday that the team’s NHL affiliate the Carolina Hurricanes have reassigned forward Clark Bishop to the Everblades from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bishop, 20, joins the Everblades after posting four points (2g, 2a) in 28 games played with Charlotte this season. The 6-0, 192-pound rookie center totaled 129 points (57g, 72a) with 227 penalty minutes during his four-year career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2012-2016.
The St. John’s, Newfoundland native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the-fifth-round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Bishop signed a three-year entry level contract with the Hurricanes on April 4, 2016.
Bishop will be available to play when Florida plays host to the Manchester Monarchs tonight at Germain Arena.
