ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Friday that forward Stephen MacAulay has joined the team on loan from the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League (AHL).

MacAulay, 24, has registered four points (2g, 2a) in 28 games played this season with Springfield.  MacAulay agreed to terms with the Everblades prior to the start of the season, but earned a spot on Springfield’s roster during training camp.

Last season MacAulay recorded 34 points (13g, 21a) with St. Mary’s University (AUS).  The 6-2, 185-pound center totaled 70 points (24g, 46a) during his three collegiate seasons with the Huskies from 2013-2016. The Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native played five productive seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) amassing 155 points split between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Halifax Mooseheads from 2008-2013.  MacAulay won Memorial Cup Championships with Saint John in 2011 and a second title with Halifax in 2013.

Earlier this week, the Everblades traded forward Eric Scheid to the Missouri Mavericks in exchange for the rights to defenseman Bryce Aneloski.  Aneloski is currently on call-up with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) where he has one goal and two assists in 24 games played.  The 6-2, 201-pound blueliner has recorded seven assists in nine appearances with Missouri this season.

On Wednesday, the Everblades traded defenseman Akim Aliu to the Elmira Jackals in exchange for future considerations.

MacAulay is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Everblades battle the South Carolina Stingrays at the North Charleston Coliseum. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Fans can catch the game broadcast on WJBX News, Talk & More on 101.5-FM.104.3-FM, 770-AM or by CLICKING HEREUpcoming Home Games & PromotionsWednesday, February 1 vs. Greenville7:30 p.m. – Yet another $2 Wednesday! $2 Beers, Wines & Hot Dogs all night long!   College students receive a $5 ticket w/ free parking when they present their College ID at Germain Arena.
