Brendan O'Donnell Returns for Second Season

ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms with forward Brendan O’Donnell for the 2016-17 season.

O’Donnell, 24, returns for his second season with the Everblades after an impressive 37-point (17g, 20a) rookie campaign in 2015-16.  O’Donnell ended the season on a high note, tying an Everblades team record by a scoring a goal in nine consecutive games. The original record was set by Keith Anderson during the 2003-04 season.

“Brendan brings tremendous speed to our team,” said Ralph. “He has the skill and scoring ability to be an elite player at this level.  Brendan had a strong finish last season, and he will use that experience to have success early this year.”

Prior to joining the Everblades, the 6-0, 193-pound forward totaled a balanced 55 points (27g, 28a) during his four-year collegiate career at the University of North Dakota from 2011-2015.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth-round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
