ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Zack Kamrass for the 2016-17 season.
Kamrass, 25, joins the Everblades after recording 24 points (4g, 20a) in 62 games played with the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) last season. The 5-11, 190-pound blueliner also appeared in one game last year with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars. Kamrass joined the Steelheads in the spring of 2015 and logged five points (2g, 3a) in just six games.
“Zack will be an integral part to the success of our hockey club,” said Ralph. “He brings high compete, character and next level ability. Zack will be a leader in the core group of players we have coming in, which will add to the strength and tradition of the Everblades organization.”
The Atlanta, Georgia native also totaled 64 career points (13g, 51a) during his four seasons at UMASS-Lowell from 2011-2015.
