ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Thursday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Chase Golightly for the 2016-17 season.
Golightly, 24, returns to Florida where he logged six points (1g, 5a) in nine regular season appearances with the ‘Blades last spring. Golightly also chipped in four assists in six postseason contests.
The 5-10, 180-pound blueliner joined the Everblades late last season after concluding his senior campaign at Robert Morris University where he recorded a career high 24 points (5g, 19a) in 39 games played. The Temecula, California native totaled 60 career points during his four-seasons with the Colonials from 2012-2016.
“Chase is a mobile, puck-moving defenseman who will be able to help us out on the power play,” said Everblades Head Coach Brad Ralph. “We look forward to his continued development for the upcoming season.”
Golightly becomes the third player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2016-17 season. Forward Mike Aviani and defenseman Logan Roe agreed to terms with the team last week.
The Everblades open the 2016-17 season on October 14 & 15 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
