Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades will look to halt a season-high four-game skid Friday at Germain Arena when they host the Greenville Road Warriors for the second contest in a three-game series at 7:30pm.
When the two sides met on Wednesday, the Warriors used a three-goal surge in the second and third periods to rally past the Blades 5-4.
Florida’s offense received a dose of depth Friday, as forwards Brandon MacLean (Rochester) and Sean Dolan (Charlotte) were both sent to the Blades from the American Hockey League.
At the time of his loan to the Americans, MacLean led the Blades in shorthanded goals (2), game-winning goals (4) and plus/minus (+15). Florida has gone 3-6-0-1 in the absence of the Burlington, Ontario, native.
Greenville continues to surge up the standings, having won seven of their last ten games to pull into eighth place in the Eastern Conference—the final spot in the East’s playoff picture.
Marc-Olivier Vallerand has done the most notable damage against the Blades for Greenville, piling up two goals and six assists in the teams’ four head-to-head matchups.
Warriors goalie Jason Missiaen—a 6-foot-8 skyscraper in net—stopped 24 of the last 25 shots he saw Wednesday to help secure the victory for the visiting Greenville side.
It will be Junior Everblades Night as the Blades celebrate youth hockey at Germain Arena.
Tickets are now on sale at the Capital Bank Box Office, open Monday through Friday, 10:00am until 6:00pm.
Friday’s critical home contest will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com.
