The Florida Everblades and The Colony Golf & Country Club are teaming up to host The Florida Everblades Golf Tournament and Auctionto benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor Christian Hannett.
The Event will take place at The Colony Golf & Country Club on October 7, 2012, with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $150 per player, or $600 per foursome, which includes all golf fees, hole contests, tournament gift, prizes and awards dinner. The format is actually a five-person scramble, as each group of four will play with a current/former Everblades player or coach.
All proceeds from the registration fees and auction will benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). COTA exists to assist patients who require a life-saving organ, bone marrow, cord blood or stem cell transplant. Money raised through fundraisers help cover the cost of the expensive procedures.
Christian Hannett is a local boy who received a life saving bone marrow transplant at the Duke University of Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Currently $100,000 is being raised by Fort Myers and Naples Volunteers. For more information about Christian’s story CLICK HERE
