ESTERO, Fla. – The Eastern Conference Finals between the Florida Everblades and Trois-Rivières Lions heads north of the border for Game Three on Wednesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. The Lions lead the series 2-0 over Florida after a pair of wins at Hertz Arena.
The Everblades lost another one-goal game to Trois-Rivières in Game Two by a 2-1 final. Kyle Neuber scored Florida’s first (and only) goal of the series – the marker was also his first playoff goal in his ECHL career.
For the Lions, Luke Cavallin has made 63 saves through two games in this series, with two shutouts in his last four playoff games. Justin Ducharme’s Game Two game winner came shorthanded, marking both Trois-Rivières’ second shortie in these playoffs and the second goal Florida hasallowed while up a man.
Florida is 4-1 in road playoff games this year. This is the first time the Everblades have trailed a series 2-0 after the first two matchups over the last four seasons, and only the second time they have had a two-game deficit in a series – the last time was trailing the Jacksonville Icemen 3-1 after Game Four of last season’s first round.
