CRANLEY RECALLED TO ST. LOUIS BLUES; CARON JOINS BLADES

ESTERO, Fla. – The St. Louis Blues, NHL affiliate of the Florida Everblades, have recalled goaltender Will Cranley to the National Hockey League ahead of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. In response, the Everblades added goaltender Mathieu Caron on an amateur tryout deal.

Cranley, 23, compiled an 11-9-3-0 record in 23 games with Florida this season. The Peterborough, ON native has a 2.71 goals-against average and .896 save percentage this season, along with two assists and a goalie fight. The left-catching netminder has also played two AHL games with the Springfield Thunderbirds this season, with a 0-1-0-0 record there with a 4.91 GAA and .867 SP.

Cranley is in the final year of his entry level contract with the Blues. St. Louis selected Cranley in the sixth round (163rd overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft from the Ontario Hockey League’s Ottawa 67’s.

Caron, 25, joins the Everblades after his senior year at Boston University. The Abbotsford, BC local went 12-6-1 in 21 games this season for BU with a 3.16 GAA and a .899 save percentage for the Terriers. He split five collegiate seasons between BU and Brown University after finishing his junior days with the BCHL’s Chilliwack Chiefs.
