ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades take on the Indy Fuel once again on Valentines Day at 7:00 p.m. in Indiana.
Florida dismantled the Indy Fuel 6-3 on Wednesday, with Tarun Fizer leading the team offensively with a pair of goals. At least one player on every line for Florida got a point, with 12 different skaters landing on the scoresheet in the victory. Alongside Fizer’s pair of goals, Craig Needham and Alex Kile both got a goal and an assist.
Defenseman Adam McCormick led the way for the Fuel with a goal and an assist, while former Everblade Cam Hausinger got one assist in his first game against his old club.
The Everblades scored two power play goals on four attempts, while Indy went one-for-three on their tries. Florida has scored at least one power play goal in three straight games.
In the ECHL standings, Florida sits two points above the Toledo Walleye for first in the ECHL and nine points clear of the Jacksonville Icemen for first place in the South Division. Following Wednesday’s gamen Indy is fifth place in the Central Division, three points behind the Bloomington Bison for the last playoff spot.
The series against Indy concludes Saturday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m.
