ESTERO, Fla. – Riding a season-high six game winning streak, the Florida Everblades have a rematch against the Tahoe Knight Monsters on Friday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Florida won over Tahoe on Wednesday 4-2 in the first ever meeting between the two franchises. Captain Oliver Chau is leading the way for his club with assists in each of the last five games, getting one on Kyle Betts’s game winning goal on Wednesday. Betts and Alex Kile both got in to double digits in goals with their goals in that match.
The Knight Monsters have now lost three straight games and are now seven points behind the Kansas City Mavericks for first place in the Mountain Division. Tahoe’s offense was held under three goals for the first time since January 31st and they’ve allowed 19 goals against in their last three games.
Betts scored his goal on a power play, with Florida going one-for-three on the man advantage and a perfect five-for-five on the penalty kill. The Everblades have at least one power play goal in five of their last six games.
